How I approach QCTO programme design
A consistent process that balances compliance rigour with practical, learner-centred design thinking.

Understand Organisational Need
Before touching a curriculum document, I listen. What problem is the programme solving? Who are the learners? What does the organisation need the programme to achieve in the real world - not just on paper?

Interpret Curriculum & Requirements
I work directly with the QCTO curriculum document - unpacking the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) requirements, knowledge modules, practical skills, and workplace experience components to build a clear design brief.

Design the Aligned Learning Structure
Curriculum map, module sequence, assessment strategy, and delivery model are designed together - not as separate documents but as an integrated system where every element supports the others.

Develop Materials & Assessments
Full material development - learner guides, facilitator guides, assessments, PoE templates and any supporting resources. Everything is designed, written and branded as a cohesive set, not assembled from templates.

Prepare for Delivery & Implementation
Whether the programme is delivered face-to-face, blended, or fully online - I prepare for implementation. This includes LMS setup, SCORM packaging, facilitator orientation, and quality assurance before the first cohort begins.
